This October marks the 50th anniversary of New Horizons Resources, an organization dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD). For five decades, New Horizons has been at the forefront of promoting community engagement, inclusivity, and self-determination for individuals with ID/DD. Their work has touched thousands of lives, providing opportunities for personal growth, education, and full community participation.

The evolution of services for individuals with ID/DD has been profound over the last 50 years, and New Horizons has played a pivotal role in shaping the landscape.
